About the event
Eat Pray Love | Seven Slow Days in Goa
Seven slow days for women in the beautiful backwaters of Goa, India, with Sujaya Walia and Amy Kokoszka.
This is a retreat for women who are ready to step away from the noise and come back to what matters.
A week to explore sovereignty, pleasure, wildness, joy, quietness, love and connection. To eat well, move your body, laugh, learn, rest, explore and have the space to hear yourself think.
We are particularly interested in this extraordinary stage of a woman's life, the space between maiden, mother and crone. A dynamic, powerful and often overlooked era that deserves far more conversation.
Over these seven days, we'll explore what it means to move into this time of life with curiosity rather than fear, and to rediscover the parts of ourselves that may have become quiet along the way.
And yes, we're going to Eat, Pray and Love our way through it.
Not because of the book, but because these are practices worth returning to.
Yoga, Movement & Practice
Between us, Sujaya and Amy bring over four decades of experience guiding women through yoga, movement, group processes and alternative practices designed to enhance and enrich women's lives.
There will be morning and evening yoga practices, meditation, breathwork, workshops and plenty of space to explore what feels good in your body.
Our practices will be thoughtful and varied, with space for both challenge and deep rest.
And somewhere in there, we're going to find our fucking joy.
Food & Nourishment
The food is a wonderful part of the experience.
Fresh, authentic Ayurvedic-inspired meals are prepared with coconut, spices, vegetables, grains and an abundance of tropical fruit. The food is predominantly vegetarian and plant-based, prepared fresh each day and full of the flavours of India.
Goa, Slowly
We'll experience some of the beauty and culture of Goa together, without trying to cram everything into one week.
There may be a visit to a local bird and nature reserve, a beautiful Goan backwater boat trip, opportunities to explore ancient trees and the lush landscape, and glimpses into the rich culture and history of the region.
Everything is done slowly and thoughtfully.
All outings are optional. You can come with us, stay by the pool, read your book, take a nap or simply enjoy the house and your own company.
There will also be the option to indulge in Ayurvedic massage and other treatments during your stay.
